Recently during a media interview, Bajpayee was asked how he stays away from controversies in the industry and also avoids going to Bollywood parties. Replying to this question, the actor said, ‘I have not had any major controversy, but yes, I do not go to any party. Now people do not even invite me, because they have understood why there is a need to get angry and insulted by my not going, which makes me very happy. Please do not call me. I go to sleep between 10 and 10:30 at night. I have always woken up early in the morning’.

Talking about this thing the actor further said, ‘I go to meet some people, I have some director friends as well. Sharib Hashmi is there, but the actors are not my many friends and there is a solid reason behind this. I know KK Menon and I respect him a lot he is a very nice man. Even Nawazuddin Siddiqui is my close friend in the industry, but we don’t meet often it is because we are all very busy people’.

The actor further said, ‘People who do not know me have an impression about me. Some people think that I am very arrogant because I remain reserved. I stay aloof. I respect my privacy. If someone thinks that I am arrogant, then so be it. The day they sit with me and get to know me, they will understand all these things. I am not arrogant, but I take care of self-respect’.
