Bollywood actor R Madhavan has found himself stranded in Leh, Ladakh, after heavy rainfall forced the closure of the airport. The actor shared a video from his hotel room, where he is waiting for flights to resume.
In a video posted to his Instagram Stories, Madhavan showed his followers the snow-covered mountain peaks outside his window. “End of August, and we already got snow in the mountaintops at Ladakh,” he said. He added that the incessant rain has grounded all flights for the past four days, leaving him stuck.
A Blast from the Past
The situation brought back memories for the actor, who recalled a similar experience during the shoot of his 2009 film, 3 Idiots. “I came here last in 2008 for the 3 Idiots shoot at Pangong Lake, and we had to wait because it snowed all of a sudden in August, and now this,” he said.
Despite the travel issues, he described the scenery as “breathtakingly beautiful” and expressed his hope that the weather would clear up so he could get back home. The film 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also starred Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor, and was partly shot in the scenic region of Ladakh.
On the Work Front
Madhavan was last seen in the Netflix romantic comedy Aap Jaisa Koi. His next film, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, is scheduled to be released on December 5. The film also features a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
