Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, is one of the most active celebrities on social media. He has over 100 million Twitter followers and routinely engages with them through postings and Twitter threads. The Tesla CEO discusses everything from his latest initiatives to his personal life.
Elon Musk recently revealed his weight loss struggle and shared his daily meal recommendations with his fans. During the journey, he reportedly did not take any medications or replacements, instead opting for intermittent fasting.
When asked about his weight in the Twitter thread, Elon Musk responds that he has shed more than 20 pounds (nearly 10 kg) from his original weight (before he started the weight loss journey). “I have been fasting periodically on the advice of a close friend and feel healthy,” he wrote on Twitter.
Here’s a Twitter thread where he invites people to share what’s worked for them so others can learn from them. Occasionally, I’ll share some things that seem to work for me, in case you find them useful,” he wrote on Twitter. A user responded to Elon’s tweet by saying, “That’s fantastic to hear. Fasting appears to improve concentration on tough mental tasks. It certainly does for me.” “Hey, me too, I am down 8 pounds in a few months,” commented another.
Fasting is a tried-and-true method of losing weight. Intermittent fasting is one of the most prevalent forms of fasting.
Elon Musk has been pretty open about his love of food. In various interviews and talk shows, he has gushed about food and expressed his desire to enjoy things without working out. In fact, his father, Errol Musk, recently criticized the former for his unhealthy eating habits (and overall lifestyle). Senior Musk revealed on a talk show, “Elon is incredibly strong built, but he’s been eating badly.” Apparently, he also advised his son to begin taking diet medications.
Elon Musk appears to have heeded his father’s advice and adopted a healthy lifestyle in order to shed some pounds. Instead of taking diet medications, he went the natural route, eating a balanced diet and exercising.
Is intermittent fasting helpful?
Intermittent fasting, also known as periodic fasting, is a type of fasting in which there is a specific eating window and a certain fasting window. Although it has been shown to be beneficial in many people, there may be some side effects. It is not recommended for people who have sugar issues and can cause anxiety, intense headaches, and nausea.
“Just make sure the loss isn’t too rapid and keep an eye out for deficiency indications like hyperactivity,” one Twitter user advised Elon.
