According to the reports Deepika Padukone is to pair opposite to Hrithik Roshan. The remake of Satte Pe Satta is to be directed by Farah Khan and produced by Simmba maker Rohit Shetty. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika have always expressed their eagerness to work with each other, it is only now that they have got the chance to share the same screen. The film is about seven brothers and a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1982 released Satte Pe Satta.
Shah Rukh, Salman and Akshay were in talks for the remake but now Hrithik will be playing the male lead, he’ll take on to Big B’s character.
As per India Today, “Farah [Khan] has already discussed the idea with Hrithik Roshan, who has also given a verbal nod to the project. Farah has reworked the whole script and designed it to suit the contemporary times. They needed a superstar who would command the same screen presence as Big B and Duggu was their first choice.”
According to Pink Villa, “Both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika Padukone in the movie because not only do they love her but she fits the role to the T. When DP [Deepika Padukone] debuted, everyone felt she had an uncanny resemblance to Hema ji in terms of her beauty as well. When Farah narrated the story to DP, she loved it and instantly gave her nod.”
It’s Deepika’s third time to team up with Farah Khan and second with Rohit Shetty, it is for the first time that she’ll be sharing screen with Hrithik.
