Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Student-Teacher’ Banter With Jr. NTR Goes Viral; Fans Confused
On May 20, Telugu actor Jr. NTR turned one year older. Hrithik Roshan, who co-starred with him in War 2, has a special birthday wish for him. Many fans were perplexed by the birthday greeting, even though they enjoyed seeing the Bollywood actor wish the Tollywood actor. Their exchange appeared to be an inside joke.
‘This time, we spin together’
On Monday evening, Hrithik took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “A very Happy Birthday to you, @tarak9999! Here’s to another incredible spin around the sun. This time, we spin together! I hope, by the end of it, the master is proud of the student in the kitchen! Haha! Stay healthy. Stay blessed.”
Jr NTR replied, “Hahaha… Thank you so much, Sir. Had a congenial War on sets with you. Can’t wait to be back with you and spin around the Sun together… As they say, when the student is ready the teacher will appear and you are ready.”
Fans are confused
But what Hrithik meant when he mentioned the kitchen, the student, and the master confused fans.
One fan commented, “Master is proud of the student in the kitchen… #War2,” sharing a meme that wondered “what’s happening here.”
Another wrote, “Student evaru Teacher evaru ra picchekkutundi. (Who’s the student and who’s the teacher, I’m confused.)”
One decoded, “So You Mean Hrithik Is a Student And You Are a Teacher?”
Why Jr. NTR’s War 2 appearance was not unveiled on his birthday baffled some other admirers.

Director of War 2, Ayan Mukerji succeeded Siddharth Anand, who oversaw the first installment. In the sequel, which Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films (YRF) is producing, Hrithik will compete against Jr. NTR. Their tweets, however, allude to a more student-teacher dynamic both in and outside of the movie.
The movie is currently being filmed in Mumbai, and while the actors were shooting outside, photos of them were leaked. It is unclear what part Jr. NTR plays, but Hrithik will return to his role as RAW agent Kabir.
