Now after proving her talent in the world of acting, Huma Qureshi has entered the world of writing. Recently, she launched her first book ‘Zeba: An Accidental Superhero’ at the Jaipur Literature Festival on Sunday.

Let us tell you that Huma Qureshi said about her journey of writing the book that the initial plan was to turn the story into a film, but the COVID-19 pandemic put those plans on hold. Huma further said, ‘I started writing the book in the year 2019. After writing 10-20 pages, I showed it to some people and everyone said that it was a good idea. Honestly, when I started writing it, my idea was to make a film or a television show on it, so I did it that way. Then the COVID pandemic came, so whatever plans were there, they all came to a halt’.

The actress further said, ‘Then I started thinking whether I should write a script on it or turn it into a graphic novel. I delayed writing it myself for a long time. I asked many people to write, but they all came back and said that you have to write it, because only you can write it. And then it took me about two years and whatever I felt at that time, I was able to put it very honestly in the book.’ Huma Qureshi described writing as an interesting experience.

Huma said, ‘I think it was an emotional process, I recommend that if anyone is struggling with any kind of anxiety, he should write. It is a great way to put anything on paper’. Huma told how her film career helped in shaping the book and said, ‘I think two things are very important in the life of any artist – success and failure. A person learns very little from success and learns a lot from failure. I think the last ten years in the film industry have been very important for me. You guys have seen my success. Have seen my good and bad days. Hits-flops and everything. These things help you learn. I have tried my best to write all these things in the book as well’.
