After winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20 international cricket. His decision shocked everyone. Now his wife Ritika Sajdeh has reacted to this news and has shared a post on social media in which she said, “I am proud of you”. Ritika Sajdeh wrote on her official Instagram account, “Rohit I know what it means to you. This format, this team, this player, this journey, and this whole process that you dreamed of. I know how difficult the last few months have been. I know how much it has affected your heart, mind, and body but watching you fulfill your dream was incredibly emotional and inspiring.

She further said, “As your wife, I am very proud of what you have achieved. You have had a huge impact on this game and the people who love it. But as a person who loves his game. I am sad to see you leaving any part of it behind. I know you have thought a lot about what is best for the team but it is not easy to see you leaving it behind. I love you very much and I am very proud to call you mine.”

After the victory in the final match, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20 international cricket. He will continue to play in Tests and ODIs. Rohit started his career with a T20 World Cup win in 2007 and ended it with a T20 World Cup win. In these 17 years, Rohit reached unprecedented heights as a batsman. He scored 4231 runs in 159 T20 Internationals at an average of 32.05. His five centuries in this format are the most by any Indian batsman. Apart from this, he also has 32 half-centuries to his name.
