During a conversation with Faye D’Souza, fashion designer Masaba, who is soon going to be a mother to her first child, said, ‘It was the worst time of my life. I don’t think I even had Rs 12,000 to pay my cook. It was that bad. In March 2020, the lockdown happened and we thought it was mostly for a day or two then it was extended to 14 days.’

Everything is over. No one is buying anything.’ Sharing her bad experiences, Masaba said, ‘I remember crying after every call. My business head was confident, he was sure that something would definitely work out.

So we thought we would keep it up, keep making masks, and keep our focus and minimize our losses.’ Masaba is the daughter of Neena Gupta and former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards. Masaba got married in the year 2023 and in April this year, she announced her pregnancy. Now she is all set to welcome her first child with her husband Satyadeep Mishra.
