Nowadays, we often see star kids bonding together in parties and events. There is also a common notion associated with them that they easily get into films without talent. But this is not the case with veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mimoh. He is neither friends with other actor kids nor he was able to make a mark in the industry despite coming from filmy background. In a recent interview, the actor opened up on his unsuccessful film career. He also disclosed that he feels jealous of other star kids of his generation.
Mimoh is jealous of other star kids
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Mimoh shared that though he is a star kid himself but he does not have a great bonding with other star kids of his time including Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. He said that his father was friends with late Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan but he does not share any such friendships in the world of showbiz.
The actor revealed that though he wishes well for everyone, he is jealous of success of other star kids. He said that Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Arjun Kapoor also entered in the industry around the same time as him, and later succeeded. Mimoh stated, “I am a human being and I wish I was there. But I understood after a lot of years that nothing works when destiny plays its hand.”
Mimoh on failure of his first film
Talking about his first film Jimmy tanking at the box office, Mimoh recalled that people criticised his performance which made him and his family breakdown into tears. film. He quoted, “Mom, me and dad, all of us cried. Now I am just saying all this but back then, it was very hurtful. I remember after Jimmy’s release, I was devastated when a review read that I am not even fit enough to be a junior artist.”
Mimoh’s career
Mimoh Chakraborty is the elder son of veteran actor, Mithun Chakraborty and his wife, Yogita Bali. His other two siblings, are Dishani Chakraborty and Namashi Chakraborty. Mimoh made his acting debut with Jimmy but got recognition from Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D. He has been part of films like Loot, Rocky, Enemmy, and Main Mulayam Singh Yadav all of which failed miserably. The actor appeared last in Jogira Sa Ra Ra alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma.
