‘I Got Anger Issues After Separation of My Parents’ Reveals Farhan Akhtar In Latest Interview, Deets Inside

Farhan Akhtar is not only a renowned actor but also a talented director who has made some of the classic films of Bollywood. Today, even though he is considered one of the most successful actor-directors, there was a time when the actor’s parents’ separation made him a completely angry person. Farhan Akhtar has himself revealed about this thing in his recent interview with Rhea Chakraborty.

Recently, in Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Farhan Akhtar spoke about the impact of his parents’ separation on him. The actor said that accepting everything at that time was no less than a challenge for him. The actor said, “For me, the moment that changed my whole perspective about things is probably my parents’ separation. Till then, I felt that everything was fine. And I think it made me withdraw more into myself because being young, I didn’t really know what was happening.”

Farhan further said, ‘Zoya, my sister was very much aware of what was happening and I think being the elder in some way she protected me from the kind of suffering that my mother was going through at that time. I think as a girl my mother was more comfortable talking to her. Zoya has always been older and wiser than her age. She grew up very fast’.

Farhana further said, ‘I was just in my own world. Unaware of what was happening in my life’. While talking about the psychological changes that he went through after his parents’ separation, Farhan revealed, “I think I became very defensive after my parents’ separation, because when we had fights, kids were very innocent and kids don’t have that filter so they say anything that can hurt the other child.” While talking about his childhood, the trauma that he had to undergo Farhan said that he was not aware of how much psychological or emotional damage he was causing to someone. He said, ‘I think this is the part that made me angry ‘Why do I have to hear this?”
