I Loved “My Name Is Khan”: Tom Hiddleston Reveals His Love For Shah Rukh Khan
Tom Hiddleston, who we all know as the god of mischief Loki in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, is having his own Disney Plus series, premiering from today, June 9. Recently, the British actor shared a video on Twitter, where he plays a game of Word Association and talks about all the Indian things he loves, including Shah Rukh Khan.
Reportedly, in earlier times, MCU shared continuity with the films of the franchise after the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, revealing that an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline. Directed by Kate Herron and produced by Marvel Studios, Tom Hiddleston presents his character, Loki, with Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Anupam Chauhan, and Wunmi Mosaku. In the film, the plot revolves around Loki stepping out of his brother’s shadow to embark on an adventure that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame”.
Getting back to earlier conversation, very interestingly, the game show makes Tom express his thoughts about the first thing that comes to his mind, presenting with a certain word. When he was asked about ‘India’, he says, “Shah Rukh Khan.” When he was presented the next question about Bollywood, he dramatically says, “Am I allowed to say Shah Rukh Khan again? Shah Rukh Khan again.” The next question was about an Indian city, which he says, “Chennai. My Akka lives there. She used to live there. Chennai is great! I had been there a few times.” Tom’s way of answering questions, including SRK, reveals that he has his whole heart for the romantic actor.
Earlier in 2012, while interviewing with the Hindustan Times, admitting his love for SRK, he said, “I loved SRK’s ‘My Name Is Khan’. Later he also mentioned, “I’d want nothing more but to star in a Bollywood movie.” It looks like his love for Bollywood still stands, alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
