Now once again the director has come into the limelight by commenting about Sridevi and her daughter Janhvi Kapoor. While talking about Sridevi and Janhvi Ram Gopal Varma said, “I still don’t see Sridevi in Janhvi.” However, earlier South actor and Janhvi’s ‘Deevra’ co-star Junior NTR had said that during a photoshoot for the film, there was a moment when Janhvi looked exactly like her mother.

However, later Ram Gopal denied the comparison between veteran actress Sridevi and her daughter Janhvi Kapoor. He praised Sridevi and said, “Whether it was ‘Padhaarella Vayasu’ or ‘Vasantha Kokila’, she gave a variety of performances. In fact, watching her act I forgot that I am a filmmaker and started seeing her as a viewer.” When asked about doing a film with Janhvi Kapoor, Ram Gopal Varma clarified his stance and said, “I liked the mother, not the daughter.”
