Khushi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, recently addressed speculation around her personal life, including rumored links with co-star Vedang Raina. In an interview with Bazaar India, Khushi shared insights into how she handles the inevitable public interest in her dating life as a rising actor.
“It’s definitely new for me,” Khushi admitted, acknowledging that the spotlight has brought unfamiliar challenges. “It’s not something I had to put much thought into before. I would like my work to be the main focus.” Emphasizing her dedication to maintaining privacy, she added, “I understand there’s a certain curiosity when you’re in the public eye, but I think it’s best to keep your personal life private and let your work be the priority.”
Her words come amid rumors linking her to Vedang Raina, a fellow newcomer in The Archies. Vedang and Khushi reportedly share a close bond, often seen together in social settings. Recently, Vedang joined Khushi’s family and friends at her 24th birthday celebration, where he participated in both a casual pajama party and an intimate dinner outing. In one video from the event, Vedang was seen gently holding Khushi’s hair back as she blew out her birthday candles, fueling further speculation about their relationship.
Beyond managing public attention, Khushi turns to her family for guidance on navigating the industry. In the interview, she revealed her go-to confidantes. “I go to Janhvi, dad [Boney Kapoor], and Arjun bhaiyya the most. They have many more years of knowledge than me, so it definitely helps to get their opinion on things when I’m not entirely sure of how to handle certain situations,” she said. Her close-knit family has been a source of invaluable support as she embarks on her career.
Khushi is set to appear in a yet-untitled romantic drama alongside Junaid Khan, scheduled for release in theaters on February 7, 2025. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film marks her second major role after The Archies. The coming-of-age film, also featuring Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda, has garnered attention for its fresh, youthful cast and nostalgic premise.
While Khushi is keeping her personal life under wraps, her commitment to her craft remains evident. With a family deeply rooted in the industry and a budding career ahead, Khushi Kapoor is poised to make a mark, letting her work, rather than rumors, define her journey in Bollywood.
