TV actress Dipika Kakar who became a household name with her daily soap ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ is soon going to embrace motherhood. And before bringing her little one into this world, the actress has taken a major decision of her life. She has announced that she will quit acting now.

In a recent interaction with the media, Dipika revealed that she doesn’t wish to act anymore. She said that she wants to live the rest of her life as a housewife and mother.

Dipika said that she is enjoying the pregnancy phase a lot. The excitement of welcoming her first baby is on another level. She then shared how she started working in showbiz at a very young age and continued for about 10 – 15 years at a stretch. Dipika said, “As my pregnancy journey began, I told Shoaib that I don’t want to work and want to quit acting. I want to live a life as a housewife and mother.”

After Dipika’s statement reached social media, fans started expressing their disappointment over her decision.

Dipika Kakar became a sensation with her popular soap ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. In the show, Dipika played the titular role. She was later seen as a participant on dance reality shows like ‘Nach Baliye 8’ with her husband Shoaib Ibrahim and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8’. After this, she appeared on Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 12′ and went on to lift the trophy of the controversial show. Dipika was last seen in Star Plus’ ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ opposite Karan Grover. The show aired in 2020.

On the personal front, Dipika is expecting her first child with actor-husband Shoaib. The two met on the sets of ‘Sasural Simar ka’ and settled down in February 2017 after dating for some time. Dipika and Shoaib had a traditional nikaah ceremony.
