‘If Fate Has It’: Manisha Koirala Feels ‘It’ll Be Nice’ To Have Life Partner Post Divorce

Manisha Koirala, the acclaimed Bollywood actress, opened up about her personal life in a recent interview with Zoom, amidst her busy schedule promoting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.”

She divorced Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal in 2012. The paps asked her about starting a family or finding a life partner, and  to that, she candidly expressed her openness to finding love again, stating, “I do, I’d be lying if I say I don’t.”

Opens her heart out

However, she emphasised her unwillingness to wait around for love, asserting, “I am not waiting for him or wasting my time on that”. She continued,” If it is meant to be, it will be, or else, I am content with my life.”

Reflecting on her current life situation, Koirala highlighted the strong support system she has from her family and friends. She expressed gratitude for her peaceful and loving family, great friends, and successful career.

Views on new companionship

Despite being content with her life, Koirala acknowledged that having a companion would enhance her happiness. She stated, “If I had a good companion, then why not?”

The interview shed light on Koirala’s journey, including her marriage to Samrat Dahal in a traditional Nepalese ceremony held in Kathmandu on June 19, 2010. Their wedlock  lasted just two years and due to some barriers, they separated after that.

The same year marked a significant challenge in Koirala’s life.  She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, adding another layer of complexity to her personal journey.
