Actor Jimmy Shergill has proved his acting mettle with Hindi and Punjabi films. He has been consistent with his growth since ‘Maachis’. Jimmy’s performances in films like ‘Haasil’, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ has been widely appreciated. The actor is in discussion these days for his upcoming film ‘Aazam’.

In a latest conversation with a leading daily, Jimmy talked about his forthcoming film, and how according to him Kangana Ranaut is the best actress in the current era.

Jimmy considers working with Kangana in the film ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ just a coincidence. He said, “Aanand L. Rai, who produced this film, was his friend. He did his first film titled ‘Strangers’ with me and we became friends. Many years later, Anand and his writer Himanshu brought this film to me. When he narrated the story, I didn’t think twice before signing it. It was a lot of fun doing ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.”

Talking about Kangana, Jimmy stated, “Kangana is a great actress. I think she should concentrate more on her acting at this time. If she minds her own business, there is no better artist than her in the industry at present. I believe that she should stay away from everything else.”

Furthermore, Jimmy revealed how Aazam is a different film from his previous ones. He explained, “The film depicts one night in Mumbai where there are some strange incidents happening in the city. They shake everyone from the underworld to the Mumbai Police and the ruling classes. It is related to underworld but many other aspects of the Mumbai will come to fore with this film.”

For the unversed, Jimmy Shergill made his acting debut with ‘Maachis’ in 1996. After creating magic with his superb acting skills, he went to win hearts with Punjabi films. Currently, Jimmy is getting good opportunities in both the film industries.
