The Grammy’s were a huge hit with many surprising new occurrences, but Celine Dion’s appearance takes the cake. And, Taylor Swift lands in controversy yet again as she snubs the “My Heart Will Go On” singer. Celine Dion, who is battling Stiff-Person syndrome, also engaged in an impromptu performance backstage at the Grammys 2024.

Taylor Swift Ignores Celine Dion on Stage

Celine Dion was presenting the Grammy Award to Taylor Swift when the young country singer seemed to ignore the seasoned singer. Taylor simply accepted the prize and went on to acknowledge her team and thanked her loved ones. Not once did she make a note of Celine Dion, and fans of both singers got furious.

55-year-old Dion, who has been out of the public eye for many years now, made a sensational appearance at the event. Dressed in an orange couture coat and gown, Dion walked onto the stage and received a standing ovation.

Celine handed out the Album of the Year award, the final one for the night, to Swift, who hugged her, but ignored her by not saying anything. In contrast, when Celine presented the Song of the Year Grammy to Adele in 2017, Adele embraced her and gestured a hand motion saying, “I’m not worthy.” Fans drew comparisons.

Dion Is Back and Gracious to Be There

Not one to take this diss to heart, Celine Dion went on to show everyone that she was back. Stiff-Person syndrome is a rare neurological disorder of the incurable variety. The disease affected her vocal cords, neural function, and more, making her unable to sing “like she used to before.” Dion wanted to prove that illness is “not a death sentence” as she arrived at the Grammys.

Besides, the alleged snub of Taylor Swift didn’t faze her one bit. She brushed it off like a queen and spoke to Taylor backstage, according to sources. She also riffed with Oprah Winfrey and sang with Steve Wonder, showing everyone that she was right and capable of doing things.

Life Is Fantastic

Her reception by the A-list crowd came days after the announcement of her yet-to-be-released documentary “I Am Céline Dion.” It will stream on Amazon Prime Video, made by Oscar-nominated director Irene Taylor. It will showcase the life of Celine Dion post her Stiff-Person syndrome diagnosis and that life can be fantastic.
