It was linked to Ranbir Kapoor’s latest blockbuster ‘Animal’. Now actor Imran Khan has given clarification on this. He has said that he was not talking about ‘Animal’, but about a series based on espionage that was offered to him.

During an interview, Imran vehemently denied making any statement against Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Animal’. He said he was talking about an espionage-based thriller series that was offered to him. “People take one thing and turn it into something else,” the actor said. Adding further to this he said that he would never criticize anyone’s film publicly. He considers it a great disrespect. “I was brought up in such a way that I would take praise in public and criticism in private,” he said.

Talking about the series offered to him, the actor said that this series was offered to him by Abbas Tyrewala, the director of his film ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. He said that this series was based on espionage. However, it could not be made. The actor said, “I was talking about my part in this series, my character was a detective. There was a lot of violence in it and I did not want to play that kind of character”.
Animal
The actor said that he had not seen ‘Animal’. He said, “I am quite honest. I have not watched too many Hindi films in the last few years”. He said, “There were a lot of debates about this film, but I am not qualified to comment on it because I have not seen the film yet”. Let us tell you that Animal was released last year. Too much violence was shown in the film. It was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. At the same time, Imran was last seen in the film ‘Katti Batti’ released in 2015.
