In Honour Of “Devdas” 20th Anniversary, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Posts A Stunning Image Of “Paro”

Devdas, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and based on the same-named novel by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, celebrated its 20th anniversary on Tuesday. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, one of the movie’s leading ladies, shared a poster of the film on the occasion.

In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s landmark film, Aishwarya played Paro and Shah Rukh Khan Devdas. The two star-crossed lovers split up, and Devdas turns to booze for comfort. He begins working as a prostitute and meets Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit), who later develops feelings for him. Jackie Shroff, Kirron Kher, Manoj Joshi, and numerous other actors also appeared in the movie.

Abhishek Bachchan, her husband, and fellow actor responded as soon as Aishwarya shared the lovely movie poster. In the comments area, he included a heart emoji. Aishwarya’s followers experienced nostalgia and reminisce about how much they adored her in the movie. “You were beyond belief,” one of them wrote. “Big admirer.” One more said, “Wow, 20 years. It seems to have just been launched! My favourite movie of all time! What a classic piece! “Ur acting was beyond superb mam,” another admirer remarked.

Bhansali Productions, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production company, also used Twitter to mark the occasion. According to one of them, Devdas is mystical. Devdas is both poetic and melancholy. In 2002, Devdas was presented in theatres. It was the most costly Hindi movie ever produced at the time it was released. Devdas was a massive undertaking, coming in at over Rs 50 crore in expense. It also garnered great success at the box office in India and on the international scene.

Aishwarya is now preparing for the premiere of Ponniyin Selvan: I, directed by Mani Ratnam. In the epic drama, she will embody Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor. Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Lekshmi are also featured in the movie. The publication date is September 30.
