‘Industry Gives Me Respect But Producers Don’t Give Me Work’, Kumar Sanu Opens Up On Not Getting Work In Industry

Singer Kumar Sanu is called the ‘King of Melody’ of Bollywood for obvious reasons. His old songs are still on people’s lips and his fans love to hear him again and again. His voice still melts in the ears. But you will be surprised to know that the popular singer of that era is not getting work in this era. The 90s star has now questioned the industry as to why he is not given work despite getting appreciation and love for his songs!

Kumar Sanu spoke in the interview and told how he gets immense love and respect from music directors, but sadly, none of it translates into work opportunities. During an interview with one of the media houses, Kumar Sanu said, ‘My journey has been great so far in the industry. Everyone in the industry respects me a lot. But the biggest thing is that people give respect, and love, and also listen to my songs. I don’t know why they are not using my voice for songs in Hindi films now I don’t understand the issue.’

He questioned the ‘love’ of his fans and the directors and asked why the same people could not give him some work. Kumar Sanu, famous for songs like ‘Chura Ke Dil Mera’, ‘Jeeta Tha Jiske Liye’, ‘Nazar Ke Samne’, ‘Saanson Ki Zaroorat’, and ‘Main Duniya Bhula Dunga’, said that sometimes he wonders whether this love is true or not.

He further said, ‘This question is in the mind. When they are showing so much love in front of me, why don’t they make me sing too? I don’t know if this is true or not. Let us tell you that Kumar Sanu may be away from mainstream playback singing in Bollywood, but he does stage shows all over the world. He recently performed in the USA and Canada. He last sang for Rajkummar Rao in the Netflix movie ‘Guns and Roses’ and Manav Kaul in the ‘Tribhuvan Mishra ‘CA Topper’ series.
