What is inferiority complex after all? When you’re craving for acceptance from the world outside where all you need to do is to accept yourself. You don’t value your existence, you are down with self-esteem and even if you achieve something you think you’re not worthy of it.

Marilyn Monroe for instance was described as a narcissist, however with all the fame she suffered from the feelings of inferiority. She even stated; “My illusions didn’t have anything to do with being a fine actress, I knew how third rate I was. I could actually feel my lack of talent, as if it were cheap clothes I was wearing inside…”, she felt as if she was not seen as a serious character rather a sedate. She couldn’t face rejections. The reason she couldn’t compensate for her complexes were her childhood experiences which left a long-term impact.

One can conclude that the vulnerable situation that may occur is when the insecurities are the result of person’s poor self-esteem. All the criticism and rejections from the past make one feel low about themselves, their minds trick them to imagine an inferior self-image. Self-doubt and self-criticism sets one on the path of self-destruction as the confidence level was nil, now the person has given upon himself/herself, the calibre will never be unleashed.

Your self-image is the mental picture you have for yourself in your mind that completely defines your outlook in life. Fixing your self-image is not impossible, remember impossible in itself means ‘I’M POSSIBLE’.

Introspect whether looks are important, a person who is never satisfied with his/her looks will be overly critical and aggressive. The solution is to gain self confidence and stop judging people, stop judging a book by its cover. After introspection retrospect what you’re doing to achieve who you want to be, by blaming your genes you’re questioning your existence and saddening the cells you are made of. Be happy for nothing and be grateful for everything. Work on improving yourself, loving and accepting yourself. We all wish for an Instagram body where everything that is posted is the best the person has got, it is time to come out of the virtual world and live in the reality. Affirm what you are worthy of with full belief that it works. Never forget that you are alone in this trap, you need not be the synthetic Gangnam beauty or the next face of ‘Fair and Lovely’. As perfect is not real, be the best version of yourself.
