From June 21, the pace of vaccination has been further accelerated in India in order to vaccinate most of the population before getting hit by the covid third wave. Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan tweeted that its effect made visible on the very first day and the country made a record of vaccinating mass. On Monday, more than 8 million doses of the corona vaccine were administered, which proves that the government’s vaccination policy is in the right direction. However, there are still many people who are afraid to take the vaccine for some reason or the other.

However, many rumours have spread in the country regarding the corona vaccine. One of these is that the vaccine can cause infertility in both men and women. Expressing concern over this, the Health Ministry has issued a press release and said that there is no scientific evidence that proves that the corona vaccine causes infertility. So do not pay attention to such things.

Corona Vaccine

Recently, the National Expert Group on vaccination had appealed that the corona vaccine is necessary for lactating women as well and it is also important for the safety of children because at present there is no vaccine for children in the country. And on the proposed vaccine, trials are going on, on them right now.

Pregnant women

Recently, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has appointed NITI Aayog member Dr V.K. Based on the conversation with Paul and AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria, answers to many important questions related to the corona vaccine were issued. In this Dr V.K. Paul had told that the vaccine is absolutely safe for lactating mothers. There is no need to panic and there is no need to not breastfeed before or after vaccination.

Can pregnant women get the COVID-19 vaccine?

In response, Dr Randeep Guleria had said that many countries have started vaccination for pregnant women. The US FDA has approved vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. Data on Covaxin and Covishield will also come soon. Some data were already available and we hope that in a few days we will be able to get the full required data and approve the vaccination of pregnant women in India too.
