She mentioned that there is a history of mental health issues in her family, and her parents have also faced depression during the time of their divorce.
In her conversation with ETimes, Ira explained, “Depression is a multifaceted issue. It has genetic, psychological, and social aspects. In my case, it’s genetic, and there is a family history of mental health issues. My parents have gone through it, and my therapist believes that the triggers in my case are related to my parents’ experiences during their divorce.”

She admits, “I’m not holding them accountable. I believe I am responsible for my depression. But now, how do I reverse that? I need to be happy. So, I must gradually let go of the things that contributed to my unhappiness.”
