Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor became parents to a beautiful baby girl, Raha on 6th November 2022. Now, close to her first-year birthday, mommy Alia Bhatt delves into the ongoing debate on whether disclosing Raha’s face all over the internet is a good idea. 

 

New parents, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt took great precautions to prevent the paparazzi from taking pictures of their baby girl and even went on to request them to not take snaps. Naturally, this has led to more curiosity among the fans about how Raha looks and when they will get to see her. 

 

Alia Bhatt on motherhood and the decision to unveil Raha’s face

At the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Alia Bhatt spoke briefly about why they are not yet ready to reveal her baby to the world. She said, “I don’t want it to seem like I am hiding my daughter. I am proud of her. If the cameras were not rolling right now, I would put a giant image of her on the screen. I love her. I am proud of our baby. But we are new parents. We don’t know how we feel about her face splashed out all over the internet, she’s barely a year old.”

It is natural for parents to want to protect their children from media scrutiny. Luckily, Ranbir and Alia seem to have a great understanding of the media. And the paparazzi has paid heed to their request of not taking photos of Raha. The SOTY actress further reiterates that they are extremely proud of Raha but do not feel comfortable enough to see her amidst the media frenzy!

 

On the work front, Alia has started working on Vasan Bala’s Jigra, slated to have a 2024 release. On the other hand, Ranbir is the main lead in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly anticipated “Animal.”
