For kids growing up in the 1980s and 1990s, Gangadhar, aka Shaktimaan, played by Mukesh Khanna, was probably their first introduction to superheroes. Shaktimaan not only gave kids the best entertainment at the time, but he also sprinkled in a few life lessons here and there.

Earlier this year, it was announced by Sony Pictures International and Mukesh Khanna’s Bheeshm International that they would create the most ambitious superhero film ever produced in India. When talking about the movie’s production, Mukesh Khanna said it will have a hefty budget of Rs. 300 crores. It was previously predicted that it would be split into three halves.

The movie makers are still looking for the right actor, but IndiaToday.in has discovered that Ranveer Singh has already been given the part.

Ranveer Singh Shaktimaan, an Indian superhuman?

IndiaToday’s sources claim that Ranveer has expressed a great desire to play the lead character in Shaktimaan. He hasn’t formally agreed to participate in the movie, however. The movie Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is now in its last stages of production, which will reunite Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

“Ranveer has shown much excitement for his part as the Indian superhero Shaktimaan. The film’s developers believe that Ranveer can give the heroic character, who made his debut in 1997, a genuine charm. There are now negotiations with the source, the cast, and the actor.”

Mr. Mukesh Khanna refused to offer further information when IndiaToday — asked for it. He did not, however, deny the accusations either. A popular tweet from the Comicon account in 2018 said that the movie would be released in February 2022, which was when the announcement for the film was made. The message turned out to be an April Fool’s Day joke. But it doesn’t appear to be a joke anymore.

Future Films Starring Ranveer Singh

Rohit Shetty has entirely produced Ranveer’s appearance in Cirkus. The actor is also involved in the upcoming Simmba sequel, although it seems doubtful that filming will start anytime soon. Filmmaker Shankar is now working on his second movie with Ranveer, for which filming has begun.
