“Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” is one of the longest-running sitcoms on Indian television. In the 14 years since its run, many actors have left, and have been replaced. Shailesh Lodha, who played the narrator and an integral character, Taarak Mehta, left the show a few months back. The search for its replacement is on and some names keep popping up on social media. However, as per the latest reports, it is being said that Sacchin Shroff has been finalised as the new Taarak Mehta.

Sacchin Shroff is a well-known name in the industry, and he has been working in the industry for many years. The makers of the show, Neela Film Productions, said of this news: “We are not denying the news, but the audience will surely be surprised.” The official handle of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” uploaded a video on their YouTube hinting at a new entry in the Gokuldham Society. In this video, producer Asit Modi speaks about Ganeshotsav and its celebration in society and prays for everyone’s well-being.

Speaking of the comedy-drama show, Sacchin Shroff has already started shooting for his scenes, and the episode featuring him will go on-air on Tuesday. While Shailesh Lodha’s role has been filled by Sacchin, Disha Vakani’s character “Dayaben” is still missing from the show. For the inattentive, Disha took a maternity break when she was pregnant with her first child, but her character has been missing from the screen until now. While the fans were waiting for her return, the wait has now become uncertain. Although, Daya’s character in the show is kept alive through some or other storyline.

Raj Anadkat, who plays Tapu in the show, has also disappeared from the episode, and talking about his absence, he said, “My fans, my viewers, my well-wishers, they all know that I am too much good in creating suspense. I am an expert in creating suspense. When the time is right, everyone will know.”
