Producer Ronnie Screwvala had announced the film through social media tweeting in 2020. In this post, he told that he is making a biopic of hockey legend Dhyanchand. He posted, “We are very happy to announce our next film with #AbhishekChoubey, here a biopic on India’s hockey wizard #DhyanChand.
While there were earlier rumors that Ishaan Khatter would play the lead role in the film. At the same time, information has been given in the media report that Vicky Kaushal can be cast for the lead role in the film.
