‘It Is Unscripted, Allowing Panelists And Contestants To Speak Freely During Show’ Apoorva Makhija And Ashish Chanchlani Recorded Statement

The controversy has further escalated after Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial comment on Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’, with a police complaint being filed against more than 30 people. Meanwhile, YouTubers Apoorva Makhija and Ashish Chanchlani have given their statements to the police. According to police sources, Apoorva Makhija and Ashish Chanchlani said in their statement that ‘India’s Got Latent’ is unscripted, allowing the panelists and contestants to speak freely during the show.

Both the YouTubers also told the police that the judges are not paid but they can share the show’s content on social media. Sources said that contestants have to buy tickets to participate and the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the winner. In an interview with one of the media houses, Rakhi Sawant claimed that she was paid to appear on India’s Got Latent. Despite this, she supported Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina amid the ongoing controversy.

The controversy started when podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made a cheap joke about ‘parents bonding’ on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent with a contestant. In the viral clip, he asked a contestant a very objectionable question, which sparked outrage and Ranveer was heavily criticized for making vulgar comments about the relationship of parents with their kids.

Following strong criticism from politicians, celebrities, and social media influencers, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the NHRC intervened in the matter and the video was then removed from YouTube. Now the controversy is not taking a name to stop following which an FIR has been registered against 30 people involved with the show and has appeared on Samay Raina’s show in the past. Samay Raina has also removed the videos from his channel and beer biceps has also apologized to his mistakes and controversial statements on parents and kids relationship.
