Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are married now and tied the knot on June 23 in the presence of their loved ones. The intimate ceremony in Bandra was the talk of the town and was followed by a wedding celebration at Bastian. Several Bollywood celebrities attended this wedding ceremony. Now recently, Sonakshi has revealed how Zaheer Iqbal reacted when Shatrughan Sinha asked to marry his daughter.

In an interview with a media house, the couple has opened up about their marriage. Zaheer also revealed how he asked Sonakshi to marry him and if he was nervous about talking to her father actor Shatrughan Sinha about their wedding. Zaheer Iqbal said, “I went to his house and I was nervous because I had never spoken to him face to face till that moment. The moment we started talking, we discussed a million things and we became like friends.”

Zaheer further said, “I also told him that I want to ask him for marriage. I know he has an image of an angry person, but he is a very genuine and calm person and he is the sweetest person I have met in a long time.” Sonakshi Sinha said, “I was also very nervous when I told my father about us. I didn’t know how he would react. I was trying to keep it calm. I asked him, “Aren’t you worried about my marriage because you haven’t asked me anything about it?”

He said, “I have asked your mother to ask her daughter.” Sonakshi further said, “I told him that there is a guy named Zaheer in my life, and he said, ‘Yes I read that too’. He said, ‘You guys have grown up, agar miya biwi raji to kya karega Qazi’. I said, ‘Oh, that was easy.’ I realised how calm my father is. He was quite happy about our relationship.”
