Actress Jacqueline Fernandez landed in a trouble in August this year. She was called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for her alleged connection in a money laundering case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekar and his actress wife Leena Maria Paul. Fernandez has been called multiple times by the department. At times, she has skipped appearing before the officials too. Last Monday, the Race 2 actress finally went to the ED office.

In the midst of these difficult times, Jacqueline has shared a motivating message on her Instagram. Sharing two candid and amusing selfies of herself with a silly smile, Jacqueline captioned the post with a reassuring quote that read, “torn but not damaged.”

Have a look at the pictures Jacqueline shared on her Instagram:

In the latest twist to the money laundering case, Chandrashekhar’s lawyer Anant Malik on Saturday claimed that Jacqueline Fernandez was dating the alleged conman Chandrashekhar. He said, “Jacqueline and Sukesh were dating, these are my instructions, this is straight from the horse’s mouth.”

But Jacqueline’s spokesperson has criticized Chandrashekhar’s lawyer’s statement asserting that the actress has no link with Chandrashekhar or his wife.

Jacqueline’s publicist said in a statement, “Jacqueline Fernandez is being called to testify as a witness by the ED. She has duly recorded her statements and in the future will also be completely co-operating with the agency in the investigations. Jacqueline also categorically denies alleged slanderous statements made about relationship with the involved couple.”

Jacqueline first appeared before ED in August to record her statement in Rs 200 crore money laundering case. She was called again by the department. Her statement has been recorded for the second time under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Besides Jacqueline, actress Nora Fatehi was also summoned by the agency in relation to the case.
