Jacqueline Fernandez Takes Legal Action Against Conman; Seeks Witness Protection
Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has taken legal action against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. She lodged a formal complaint with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora. Despite being in jail, Chandrashekhar has reportedly continued to harass and threaten Fernandez.
Concerns Raised in a Letter to Police Chief
In a recent letter addressed to Police Commissioner Arora, Fernandez expressed her concerns about the lack of witness protection in the legal system. She emphasized her inadvertent involvement in a case with significant implications for the rule of law and the integrity of the judicial system.
Allegations and Legal Proceedings
Fernandez alleges that Chandrashekhar, currently incarcerated in Mandoli Jail, has been using intimidating tactics against her. This is posing a threat to her safety and compromising the legal procedures. Last December, she approached a Delhi court seeking restraint on Chandrashekhar from communicating with her, fearing coercion to withhold information from the court.
Immediate Intervention Urged
Urging immediate intervention, Fernandez requested the filing of an FIR against Chandrashekhar under relevant sections of the IPC. Thus ensuring her protection as a prosecution witness. She emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into how Chandrashekhar has been able to maintain external communications while in jail.
Professional Endeavours
Amidst legal proceedings, Fernandez continues to focus on her professional endeavours. She is currently preparing for her upcoming project titled “Welcome to the Jungle,”. It is the third instalment in the popular “Welcome” franchise. Scheduled for release on December 20, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast and promises an exciting cinematic experience.
