Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is getting recognition from viewers as well as critics for the challenging roles she is portraying on screen. The trailer of her recent offering Good luck Jerry is already winning her accolades from all over the country. Recently, during the promotions of her upcoming film, Janhvi talked about the paparazzi culture and its effect on the lives of celebrities.

As we all know, the growing culture of being photographed by paps has created havoc in the lives of famous faces from the acting industry. They are left with no privacy. All their public outings, visits to a doctor, gym, etc. are like an open book for the netizens. Sometimes, celebrities are captured off guard and in an oops moment too by photographers and this is something that bothers Sridevi’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor.

The Dhadak actress is frequently clicked after her workout session. In her interaction with a leading daily, Janhvi said that it is quite tiring to decide what she should wear to the gym as the paparazzi is always there to click her. And sometimes, the angles of clicking her picture go wrong which makes audiences label her as ‘vulgar.’

“For some reason, the gym is where people see me the most. Some days I just want to look comfortable and not care about if ‘this is going to look vulgar’ if the photo is taken at a certain angle. This irritates me. I don’t care if someone thinks if it is pretty or hot, I care if someone thinks that I am looking vulgar,” stated Janhvi.

“I don’t think that any girl steps out to look vulgar. Sometimes you get photographed in a certain way or people perceive you in a certain way and they character assassinate you, even though you make choices based on your comfort. That bothers me,” she continued.

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Siddharth Sengupta’s Good Luck Jerry. The film is a remake of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila. Previously, Janhvi has done films Roohi, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and the Netflix anthology Ghost stories.
