Jasleen took to Instagram to write a note for KK as a tribute. She wrote, “The song that has defined endless drives, late-night chillin’ and so many special moments with all of our friends.🥺 Remember singing this with all of my school and college friends at the top of our voices! I salute you KK sir! You will live on forever. Thank you for the music ❤️”

Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known by his stage name KK, was a prominent playback singer in India. His songs “Yaaron” and “Pal” were huge successes among teenagers.

Footage from his farewell concert showed him sweating considerably on stage and pointing about the venue’s ventilation on at least one occasion. He was whisked off stage and escorted to his hotel shortly after ending his act at 8:30 p.m. when he slumped. At 10 p.m., he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
