The war between Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar is not new. The two are doesn’t share a great equation and their court case is a proof of the same.
It all began when during an interview in February 2020, Kangana had accused the lyricist of threatening to sabotage her career. But at that time, Javed did not pay much attention to this and ignored the matter. However, when Kangana once again raised this matter after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Javed had reached the court and filed a defamation suit against the actress.
‘Kangana’s words humiliated me’
The matter was recently heard on May 3. Javed presented his case before the magistrate, terming this claim as false. He said that Kangana’s allegations have been extremely ’embarrassing and humiliating’ for him.
Javed stated, ‘I am from Lucknow aur wahan tu nahi aap kehte hain. Even if someone is 30-40 years younger than to me, I address him as ‘aap’. I am shocked about all the accusations that have been leveled against me.
Furthermore, Javed shared that after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, ‘suicide’ became a buzz word and during an interview around the same time, Kangana made allegations against me. Though I did not give any reaction to it, I felt insulted when she accused me of abetting her to commit suicide.
Javed asserted that not only this, she even said that I am a part of a suicide group and incite people to commit suicide in the same way. But this is not true at all.
Javed-Kangana court dispute
Javed and Kangana are at loggerheads since 2020. Javed Akhtar had filed an application against Kangana Ranaut. In this, he had told that he once called Kangana and asked her to reconcile Hrithik Roshan and that too at the behest of Dr. Ramesh Aggarwal.
Javed has been given the next date for hearing in this case on June 12. This time, Kangana’s lawyer will cross question him.
