Jennifer Aniston Plans Intimate F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Reunion To Celebrate Matthew Perry’s Life

Jennifer Aniston is planning to arrange an intimate gathering for her F.R.I.EN.D.S. co-stars to honor the life of Matthew Perry. Jen’s close friend and co-star Matt Perry died in October in his Los Angeles home by drowning in a bathtub. At first, there was no suspicion of foul play, per police reports, but it came to light that his death was caused by “acute effects of ketamine.” Aniston plans to host a private reunion for the remaining five stars of the hit sitcom at her Bel-Air residence.

Jennifer Aniston Plans A Tribute to Matthew Perry

The cast, namely Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, and Jennifer Aniston attended a memorial service last month. Per sources, Jennifer Aniston’s gathering will be an exclusive tribute to the versatile actor. Perry personified the sarcastic character of “Chandler Bing” in the television series that ran for more than 10 years. Perry’s untimely death at the age of 54 took everyone aback, especially when they thought he was doing okay with recovery. Recently, the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Ketamine residue was found in the autopsy. However, during this reunion, the gang aim to focus on celebrating Perry’s life rather than dwelling on the past.

Honoring Their Friendship

This event, intended to be a close affair with only the core cast members, aims to celebrate Matthew Perry’s life. “We will reminisce about cherished memories,” they said. In contrast, the funeral was a grief-stricken affair, which they went to for the family.

Instead of being a downer and feeling Matthew’s absence, the cast plans to share memories, stories, tears, and heartfelt laughter in honor of their late friend. This confidential get-together will pay homage to “Matty,” as the cast lovingly called him.

Acknowledgment of Perry’s Struggles

While noting that they were aware of his long-standing battle with substance abuse, they also say that ketamine, a drug that Perry nicknamed the “giant exhale,” is usually taken to combat pain and depression. Knowing that Matthew Perry took it at the end, makes Jennifer Aniston and others feel that the world needs more awareness of mental health issues.
