Veteran actress Juhi Chawla is known for her superb acting as well as her fun-filled style and outspokenness. When she reached ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in the past, she shared many memories of her old struggling days. Juhi Chawla first won our hearts on the silver screen almost 33 years ago in ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ directed by Mansoor, which proved to be a big hit at the box office. Now when Juhi looks back on her film journey and she shared intriguing anecdotes from her past.

Speaking of the time she worked on her debut film with Aamir Khan, she says, “I still remember when our movie was going to be released and nobody knew us”. “At that time, it was a common practice for taxis to carry film posters. There was a long line of taxis below our building, so I would go from driver to driver requesting them to put up the posters but taxi drivers shooed me away.”

She further added, “They would ask, ‘Who’s he?’ I used to say, ‘He is the hero, Aamir Khan.’ They would then point to my image on the poster and ask, ‘Who’s she?’, and I would say, ‘This is me.’ And they would say, ‘No, no’.

To know the success of the film that time actor used to wait outside the cinema halls to have a look at the audience’s reaction. Same Juhi and Aamid did for their film they waited outside cinemas to gauge the audience’s reaction.

She said, “In those days, it was not like today, when daily collection figures are public knowledge in a day. We would stand outside theatres to see if people were going in to watch the movie or not. And we slowly came to know that people actually like our movie”.
