Veteran actress Rajeeta Kochhar took her last breath on December 23 in Mumbai at 10:15 pm at night. She has left for her heavenly abode at the age of seventy. As per recent reports, the actress passed away due to renal failure. Her niece, Nupur Kampani during an interview with ETimes disclosed that the actress had endured a brain stroke in the past year. Post suffering from brain stroke, she also suffered from paralysis.
Nupur further stated that the actress was admitted to the Mumbai hospital on December 20 as she had issues of breathlessness and stomach pain. Although the signs of recovery were visible, however her health started to decay and the situations demanded her to be put on a ventilator. Eventually the actress died at night. Nupur tried to remember the last communication she had with her aunt.
She divulged, “When I met her in the evening of December 23, she held my hand and thanked me for everything. I told her that she had to live for me, and she gave me a thumbs up. That was the last conversation we had. I feel she knew that she was going.”
Furthermore, Nupur expressed that Rajeeta was more like a mother figure to her than her own mom. Her co-stars too addressed her as ‘Mom’ very fondly. Rajeeta absolutely loved her movies, co-actors and considered them as her life. Since the time the actress suffered from the brain stroke in last September, she had discontinued working in the Bollywood industry. Nupur also opened up regarding her aunt’s character who was selfless, full of life/vivacious and passionate about her career. Her behavior and character was such that she only disseminated positivity in everybody she met.
For the uninitiated, Rajeeta Kochhar was a cast in multiple television shows such as Tantra, Kavach, Hatim, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Her legacy will forever be reminisced by her manifold enthusiasts.
