Tanishaa Mukerji was dating Uday Chopra during Neal N Nikki’s shoot
Tanishaa Mukerji spoke candidly about the copious amount of on-screen kissing in Neal N Nikki during an interview with Siddharth Kannan. She disclosed that her sister Kajol had avoided watching the movie even up to this point because of its heavy kissing scenes. While acknowledging the reluctance surrounding such scenes, Tanishaa brought attention to the persistence of conservatism in the nation. Reflecting on the experience, the actress stated that if the film were presented to her today, she would approach it differently, given the impact it has on young minds. At the time, she didn’t go into much detail about it.
She said that it was comfortable to kiss on screen because she and Uday were already dating at the time of the movie’s filming. The scenes were easier for her because of their relationship; it was as though she was kissing her boyfriend. Tanishaa had accompanied her sister Kajol to the film’s set, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, where Uday was helping his brother Aditya Chopra, the director. This was where Tanishaa and Uday first got together.
Tanishaa Mukerji discloses that her mother, Tanuja, feared she had lost her after the accident
During the talk, the Tango Charlie actress revealed a significant insight regarding a difficult phase of her life. It was revealed that she had spent some time in a coma as a result of a severe accident that occurred while she was filming her first film, Sssshhh. She sustained a severe concussion in this incident, which rendered her unconscious for a considerable amount of time.
In an episode of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, she gave a thorough explanation of what happened. She was involved in an automobile accident with Dino Morea, Gaurav Kapur, and director Pavan S. Kaul while filming Sssshhh… in Manali. A back tire problem caused the car to skid, which caused a spectacular overturn. Tanishaa found herself outside the car, rolling underneath it, while other passengers in the car sustained hand fractures.
Surprisingly, she has no recollection of the accident; it has been completely erased from her life. Tanuja, her mother, was frightened and initially believed that her daughter had disappeared. Tanishaa was advised not to work again after the accident by medical professionals. To keep the movie from being shelved, the Sssshhh producers demanded that she finish it. Tanishaa overcame the difficulties over the course of a year, allowing her brain swelling and concussion to go down, and eventually persevered to successfully finish the film.
