TuBollywood actress Kajol is known for her blunt nature. In her interviews, she is often seen spilling beans about her marriage life too. Recently, the Tanhaji actress got candid with Twinkle Khanna on Tweak India. In the conversation, Kajol revealed that she wasn’t in favor of getting married but all of that changed when she met the love of her life, her better half Ajay Devgn. The actress said that she was drawn to his ground-to-earth nature and valued the sense of stability that he reflected in him.

Kajol during a tete a tete with Twinkle Khanna said, “I was the kind of person before I got married that I would never have gotten married. I always felt that I would be one of those people who somebody would have to hold a shotgun to my head to make me get married. ‘Get married otherwise, I will blow your head off’ that kind of thing. I was one of those.”

She further added, “But eventually when I met Ajay, I think that he just gave me such a sense of stability. He is such a grounded person. He is like a wall, a rock, so I think that’s something that I really believe. I knew for a fact that he would not leave me and I would not want to leave him either. So I think I found the right person pretty early,”

Kajol and Ajay first met on the sets of the film Hulchul in 1995 but it wasn’t love at first sight for the two. Kajol has earlier said that she found Ajay ignorant during their first meeting. Ajay on the other hand found Kajol ‘loud’ and ‘arrogant’. However, the two eventually fell in love. After dating for four years, the Kajol and Ajay finally sealed it on February 24, 1999. The duo is now parenting two children – a daughter named Nysa and a son named Yug.

Ajay and Kajol have also numerous projects together including Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Ishq, and Raju Chacha. Their last outing together was the 2020 hit film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior in which Ajay was seen portraying the titular role.
