Kangana Ranaut Called Deepika Padukone’s Film ‘Gehraiyaan’ Garbage, Said- Don’t Sell Trash!
Days after lashing out at a journalist over a question related to Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut has now penned a note for the actor’s latest release, Gehrayan. The film is about complex modern relationships and was released on Friday on Amazon Prime Video.
On Saturday night, Kangana shared a post on her Instagram Stories featuring actors Manoj Kumar and Mala Sinha’s popular song Chand Si Mehbooba Ho Meri, from the 1965 film “Himalaya Ki God” and targeted Deepika Padukone’s latest film, Called “Gehraiyaan” garbage. We can see, Manoj Kumar is singing on the banks of the river and Mala is dancing in a lehenga. This song was sung by famous singer-composer Mukesh.
Throwing light on the film Gehraiyaan, Kangana wrote, “I too am a millennial (21st century) but I recognize and understand this kind of romance… don’t sell garbage in the name of millennium/new age/urban films Please… bad movies are bad no matter what amount of skin show or pornography the movie shows, it can’t save it… it’s a basic fact no depth matters (no depth to it).
Earlier this month, Kangana launched her new reality show, Lockup at an event and later interacted with the media. She lost her cool when a journalist asked her about the embarrassment of Deepika for her ‘hemlines and necklines’ during the promotions of Gehraiyaan. Rejecting the question, Kangana said, “Look, I’m here to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Okay? She can defend herself. She can defend herself. She has the privilege, the platform and I am not here to promote his film. sit down.”
On the work front, Kangana will be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Reality show ‘Lockup’ which will be premiered on Alt Balaji. Recently under her production, she packed up the movie Tiku weds sheru starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet kaur.
