Kangana Ranaut Calls Out Bigg Boss Contestants For ‘Causing Chaos’: ‘I Went And Showed Dictatorship’
Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing up for the release of her much-awaited film Emergency, recently made an appearance on Salman Khan’s reality show, Bigg Boss 18. During her stint on the show, the actress didn’t shy away from expressing her candid views about the contestants, accusing them of indulging in unnecessary drama.
After leaving the Bigg Boss house, Kangana interacted with the paparazzi, who were eager to hear about her experience on the show. One photographer asked, “Emergency task hua ki nahi? (Did you perform the Emergency task?)” Kangana, known for her sharp wit, responded, “Bade naatak kiye inn logon ne. Bade utpaat machaaye (They created a big drama. They caused a lot of chaos).” She added a humorous touch, saying, “Maine andar jaa kar dictatorship dikhaayi hai (I went inside and showed dictatorship).”
Throughout her appearance, Kangana stood out with her bold fashion choices. She sported a stylish golden checkered co-ord set, paired with a sleek ponytail and cat-eye sunglasses, adding a chic and polished look to her overall ensemble.
Kangana’s upcoming film Emergency, based on the controversial period of Indira Gandhi’s 1975-77 emergency rule, is set to hit theatres on January 17, after multiple delays. The film was initially slated for a November 2023 release but faced postponements to June 2024 and September 2024. The delay was further extended due to a pending certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). However, in October 2023, Kangana confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the film had been cleared by the censor board.
Emergency has been a subject of intense debate, particularly with the Sikh community, who expressed concerns about its content. Despite the backlash, the film, which marks Kangana’s debut as a writer, director, and co-producer, aims to explore the dramatic and controversial period in India’s history when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency. The film promises to delve into the impact of the emergency on the country, offering a deep, biographical look at the life and times of one of India’s most influential leaders.
As Kangana’s Emergency readies for release, her bold opinions and fearless presence both on and off-screen continue to captivate audiences.
