Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has criticized a media portal and a YouTube channel for posting only edited clips from her two-hour-long interview.

The interview, part of the ‘Lallantop Baithaki‘ series, featured Kangana discussing various sensitive topics, including the farmers’ movement, reservations, and her controversial statement regarding India’s independence in 2014. However, the actress expressed her displeasure over the selective editing of the interview, accusing the platform of misrepresenting her views.

On Friday, The Lallantop shared a preview of the interview, highlighting the subjects Kangana addressed during the discussion. “This time our guest in ‘Lallantop Baithaki’ is BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. During the interview, Kangana gave her opinion on the farmers’ movement and reservation. Also, what did she say about the ‘independence in 2014’ statement and meeting with PM Modi?” the post read. The full interview, it added, would be released soon.

Reacting to the video, Kangana took to social media to criticise the outlet. “Arrey Lallan ji aur kitna edit karoge, aapke masters abhi bhi khush nahi hue aapse? Ek baar sara interview daalo, uncut, darte kyu ho?” she posted. In a follow-up, she accused the platform of manipulating the interview with selective edits and inappropriate music, questioning their journalistic integrity.

Meanwhile, Kangana’s upcoming film Emergency has been embroiled in controversy, with concerns over its release. On Friday, the actress revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had delayed the certification of the film due to alleged death threats against board members. She expressed her determination to fight for the film’s release, even if it meant taking the matter to court.

The film has also faced backlash for its portrayal of Sikhs, leading to fears of a potential ban in Telangana. On Thursday, a delegation from the Telangana Sikh Society met with government officials to discuss their concerns, following calls from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for an immediate ban on the film.
