Annu Kapoor stated he was unaware of Kangana Ranaut
Annu Kapoor was asked about the incident in which Kangana Ranaut was slapped at Chandigarh International Airport during a press conference for his upcoming film, Hamare Baarah. Annu questioned, unable to identify Kangana, “Yeh Kangana ji kaun hain? Please batao na kaun hain? Zaahir hai aap pooch rahe hain toh koi bahut badi heroine hongi? Sundar hain kya?” When someone from the press informed him that she is an actress and now a newly elected MP from Mandi, Annu further added:
“Oho woh bhi ho gayi! Abhi toh bahut shaktishaali ho gayi hain. I was already jealous that she was pretty because I am not, on top of that she holds power. And you are telling me that some officer slapped her? In that case, I think she should definitely take legal action against the accused.”
Swara Bhasker stated what happened to Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport was wrong
In an interview with Connect Cine, Swara Bhasker discussed her feelings regarding the Chandigarh airport incident wherein Kangana, the recently appointed MP, was struck by a CISF official. The actress said that what had happened to her was totally wrong, as any sane person would have said. Swara did, however, also note that Kangana is at least safe and has protection around her. She revealed:
“Anybody who is a reasonable person will say that whatever happened with Kangana was wrong. Kangana just got slapped–and even that should not have happened–but at least she is alive, and has her security around. In this country, people have lost their lives, they’ve been lynched to death, shot dead in a train by a security personnel, in riots, security personnel have been recorded beating up people. Jo log ye saare acts ko justify kar rahe hai, woh phir aake Kangana ke case pe hume mat sikhao.”

She also made the point that security staff members shouldn’t respond violently while donning their uniforms. Kangana’s ex-boyfriend Hrithik Roshan was spotted among the numerous celebrities who quickly liked the post endorsing her.
