Kangana Ranaut has given multiple hit films to Bollywood. Presently, she is one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry. Recently, Ranaut wrapped up the shoot of her much-awaited movie ‘Emergency’. She threw a party to celebrate the same. During the media interaction, Kangana was asked about mortgaging all her properties and ‘every single thing that she has’ to complete the shoot of ‘Emergency’. Here’s what the actress replied.
Kangana told the reporters that when she sets out to do something, she always finishes up a task. Mortgaging all her property to complete ‘Emergency’ is no big deal for her as she has take big decisions within minutes. The only struggle was going to banks constantly during the shoot, which also hampered our work.
Furthermore, the actress said that she doesn’t care even if she is ‘completely ruined’ after the film’s release. This is because she is capable of starting all over again. Recalling her early days in the Hindi film industry, Kangana stated, “I came to Mumbai with just ₹500, so even if I am completely destroyed, I have confidence and strength to stand up once again. Possessions have no meaning to me.”
Kangana Ranaut marked her Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu’s ‘Gangster’ in 2006. She is turning director with ‘Emergency’. The period drama will see Kangana playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, Satish Kaushik, Milind Soman and Shreyas Talpade in crucial roles. The film is slated to release in theatres on 20 October, 2023.
