Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivii To Release Tomorrow In Theatres!

Today on Instagram Kangana Ranaut announced with the thankyou post where she thanked about the role is doing in the film and the reviews the film is getting through its trailers. She also told that the movie is going to release tomorrow i.e. this Friday. The film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release on 23 April 2021 but was postponed due to a rise in COVID-19 cases and lockdown in Maharashtra. It was later rescheduled to release on 10 September 2021, with the new title Thalaivii.

She said ” Two years ago, I embarked on a journey to play one of India’s most iconic women onscreen. There were many obstacles and challenges in our way, but what kept me and my team going was the passion for Jaya Amma and Cinema. Thalaivii is an upcoming Indian biographical film based on the life of actress-politician J. Jayalalithaa. The film stars Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalithaa and Arvind Swami as M. G. Ramachandran. Shot simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu languages, it is directed by A. L. Vijay and written by K. V. The film was launched officially on Jayalalithaa’s birth anniversary, 24 February 2019. Initially, the film was titled Thalaivii in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi and Telugu languages, but the makers later planned to release it under the title Thalaivii in all three languages. Principal shooting began on 10 November 2019 and was completed in December 2020.
