Bianca, who married West in 2022, initially wore a large, fluffy coat, which she dramatically dropped to reveal a sheer, nude mesh dress. The outfit, worn without underwear, sparked intense discussion across social media. Many questioned the appropriateness of her look, drawing widespread attention to the couple’s appearance at the event.
Despite rumours that the pair were not invited to the ceremony, it was later confirmed that they were indeed guests. However, the couple chose to leave the event shortly after their viral moment.
According to Variety, West and Censori “walked the carpet, got in his car, and left” shortly after making their entrance.
In the aftermath, Kanye West addressed the controversy surrounding their actions. Speaking to The Sun, an insider close to the rapper defended their appearance, describing it as “art” rather than a publicity stunt. “He turned up, made headlines around the world, and left. No one told him what to do and even if they had, he wouldn’t have listened,” the source said.
West, who reportedly finds the Grammy Awards “boring and dull,” explained that he never intended to stay for the event. The rapper had planned to make a statement by walking the red carpet and then leaving.
In response to the backlash, Kanye made two statements on Instagram about his wife, Bianca. Both posts were later deleted. One post, which was a tribute to Bianca, read, “Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful ever,” and was accompanied by photos of the couple. Another post, which was also removed, featured images of Taylor Swift, seemingly aimed at the pop star, but it was quickly deleted.
Bianca, 30, enhanced her look with subtle makeup and nude heels, while Kanye, 47, opted for a more modest black outfit and sunglasses. Despite the controversy, the couple’s appearance at the Grammys remains a talking point, with Kanye standing by his unconventional expression of “art.”
