When Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood career takes off, Karan Johar reacts positively and praises her achievements. At the esteemed Toronto International Film Festival 2023 (TIFF), Karan Johar most recently attended the film KILL’s premiere. He co-produced the movie. Priyanka Chopra’s career in Hollywood has been regarded as “fantastic” by the director, who also spoke about it during the premiere.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, when questioned about his opinions on Priyanka Chopra’s flourishing Hollywood career, Karan Johar praised the actress’ journey and said, “it’s great to see her grow from strength to strength, to achieve the kind of success she has on her own terms. And she’s always wonderful on every platform she has ever been on and everything she ever stands for and represents. It’s fantastic.” 

He added further, “I feel because of the digital revolution, we’re all kind of coming together, you know, and I feel like the worlds are blurred now and like the lines are blurred and everyone is like, you spoke about Priyanka and more power to her and more power to everyone that actually has globalized.”

Karan Johar also revealed in the same interview whether he will ever make a Hollywood film, saying, “I don’t know if that is ever going to happen. I’m very satisfied with the work I do. And I always want to make a film in the language I grew up in. I don’t want to design a film that’s not for my country. That’s the most important thing for me. But meeting Meryl Streep has nothing to do with that, right?” 

Priyanka Chopra successfully made the switch from Bollywood to Hollywood by playing the lead in the television series “Quantico” and then going on to star in the hit movie “Baywatch”. The actress most recently appeared in the web series Citadel by the Russo Brothers and the romance drama Love Again. The actress is currently hard at work filming Heads Of State with John Cena.

On the other hand, Karan Johar is currently basking in the success of his return film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, in which Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan play significant roles. At the box office, the film earned more than Rs 300 crore globally.
