Karan Johar Remebers Deceased Father On His 20th Death Anniversary, Calls Him An Inspiration And Strength

Filmmaker Karan Johar is one of the biggest filmmakers in the industry. His father and Dharma Productions founder Yash Johar was also one of the most famous filmmakers of his time. Karan often keeps reliving memories related to his father. Today, June 26 is the 20th death anniversary of Yash Johar. On this occasion, Karan has written an emotional note by sharing pictures of his father on social media. Karan Johar shared pictures of his father on his Instagram handle and wrote, ‘I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. My biggest fear was losing my parents. On August 2, 2003, my father told me that he had a tumor. My worst nightmare was watching him and yet it was my duty as his child to stay positive and keep the faith. The worst thing about instincts is that they never lie.’

He further wrote, ’10 months after this he left us. We lost him. I was very proud to be the son of the strongest and most selfless man. He put his relationships above everything and left a legacy of love. My mother and I are still living it. I wish he knew our children. But I know he is watching over them and us all the time. Love you papa.’

Yash Johar was an inspiration to Karan Johar and the director always remembers his late father. He died of cancer in June 2004. He had produced many films in his career. This includes films like ‘Dostana’, ‘Duniya’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Gumrah’, ‘Duplicate’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’.
