Filmmaker Karan Johar recently shared a heartwarming video featuring Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji, capturing a beautiful moment of affection between the two longtime friends. In the video, Kareena, visibly joyful, greets Rani with a tender kiss on the cheek before pulling her into a tight hug, showcasing their close bond.

Adding a playful touch, Karan, who was recording the moment, teases the actresses by quoting the iconic line “Mujhse dosti karoge?” from his 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (K3G), where Hrithik Roshan’s character asks Kareena to be his friend. Karan then cheekily repeats another memorable line from the film, “I like it… I like it, prom pe main tumhare saath hi jaunga,” prompting Kareena to laugh and cover her face in mock embarrassment, exclaiming, “Oh god! Why are you doing this?”

Rani, staying true to her Tina character from K3G, responds sardonically to Karan’s question with a playful “Kabhi nahi,” to which Karan jokingly replies, “I like it.” Kareena, enjoying the fun banter, wraps up the playful exchange by laughing, “We’re regretting it.”

Karan Johar captioned the video with the phrase “Jab POO met TINA… that’s all!”, referencing the beloved Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham characters of Poo (played by Kareena) and Tina (played by Rani). Kareena also shared a snapshot of the trio on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Friends forever,” a sentiment reflecting the strong off-screen friendship between the two actresses.

Kareena and Rani’s onscreen camaraderie goes back to the 2002 film Mujhse Dosti Karoge, where they starred alongside Hrithik Roshan. Their collaborations continued with Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Om Shanti Om, and Talaash, although not always together. Off-screen, the two have been close friends for years, often supporting each other in both personal and professional spheres.

On the work front, Rani Mukerji was last seen in the critically acclaimed Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway (2023), while Kareena Kapoor is currently basking in the success of her Diwali release Singham Again. Karan Johar’s most recent directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani (2023), was also a hit, and he is now working on his next film, a romantic story set to capture hearts.
