It may have been nearly 14 years since Ra.One first hit the screens, but Kareena Kapoor proved on Sunday that some classics—and dance moves—never fade. At an event in Dubai hosted by a jewellery brand, the Bollywood diva surprised fans by breaking into the iconic Chammak Challo hook step, and the internet hasn’t stopped gushing since.
Clad in glamour and confidence, Kareena joined the event’s emcee on stage and, after much cheering from the crowd, effortlessly performed the memorable steps to the Akon-backed track. Fans were quick to share clips of the moment, with one user commenting, “She’s ageing like fine wine!” and another saying, “It’s like time hasn’t touched her at all.”
But trust the internet to sprinkle some trivia-tinted humour into the mix. For those who remember, the song wasn’t technically performed by Kareena’s character in Ra.One—it was villain Ra.One, played by Arjun Rampal, disguised as her. Naturally, fans didn’t let that slide. One tweeted, “But it’s Arjun Rampal, right?” while another laughed, “15 years later, Arjun Rampal still owns this dance.”

Released in 2011, Ra.One was directed by Anubhav Sinha and starred Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal as AI-powered characters in a video game brought to life. The film, one of the costliest Bollywood productions at the time, pulled in ₹207 crore globally. While successful, Ra.One faced mixed reviews and was often deemed ahead of its time in terms of VFX and concept.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor’s professional journey is as active as ever. She was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again (2024), the star-studded action blockbuster featuring Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and more.
Whether she’s saving the day on-screen or lighting up stages off it, Kareena Kapoor is clearly in no mood to hit pause on her stardom.
